Nigerian rockstar Burna Boy crosses new Spotify stream milestone with ‘Love Damini’.
Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, best known by his stage name Burna boy is one of the biggest musical exports from Nigeria and Africa at large. Over the years he has continually pitched the afrobeats flag all over the World, with songs and albums in various official charts, numerous certifications and back to back sold out shows.
Another thing he is known for is his quality body of works, he has six albums, two mixtapes and two EPs. It is common knowledge that only a select few from his colleagues can match up to him in terms of output quality, amplifying this fact is his recent Spotify achievement.
Burna boy recently became the first African to have two albums with over 700 million streams (‘Love Damini’ and ‘African Giant’). ‘Love Damini’, his sixth studio album released in 2022 was a huge success with hit singles like ‘For My Hand’ (ft Ed Sherran), ‘It’s Plenty’ and song of the summer ‘Last Last’, it recently crossed the 700 million stream mark making Burna boy the first African artiste with two projects over 700 million streams.
