Ayor Vybe, formerly know as, Imoleayo is a talented Afrobeats act who rose to the limelight earlier this decade. Tagged as the ‘King of the new school’ because of his ability to fuse different elements or sounds into his own iteration of Afrobeats, Ayor Vybe has continued in the same stead on his latest release titled ‘Story’.
On his debut outing as Ayor Vybe, he draws influence from the Carribean reggae music along with a sprinkle of Fela Kuti’s esque Afrobeat to create a timeless classic that talks about the ills of the society as well as the unbalanced distribution of wealth among the masses.
Ayor Vybe paints a subtle picture of the society with his lyrics on bouncy reggae production. Unresting and groovy, this is one of the best fusion of Carribean and Afrobeats elements. The underlining Saxophone rhythms and heavy bass drum kicks at some point in the song increases the overall enjoyability.
The song is set to serve as a lead single in his forthcoming project expected to arrive later this year. On that note, it is safe to say that this song leaves would leave a lasting first impressions on his audience and in fact gives an insight on what to expect when it drops. Well, fingers crossed as we anticipate the project.
