Afropop and Afro-RnB artist AkayCentric is stepping into bold new sonic territory with his upcoming single “Running,” an Afro-House driven record designed for late-night dance floors and global DJ sets.

Known for blending African musical influences with contemporary global sounds, AkayCentric expands his sonic palette with “Running,” marking his first official venture into the Afro-House space — a genre that continues to dominate international club culture.
The record features Ryan Carnes, the actor, drummer, and singer widely recognized for his role in the hit television series “Desperate Housewives, leading the superhero series The Phantom for SyFy , and starring in the recent romantic drama streaming hit, The Air He Breathes” Carnes brings a distinctive musical presence to the collaboration, merging rhythmic instincts and vocal energy into a track built for movement and atmosphere.
Behind the sonic polish of the record is globally respected mix and mastering engineer Luca Pretolesi, whose work has helped shape records associated with electronic music heavyweights such as Diplo, Major Lazer, Steve Aoki, and Skrillex.
Produced by TwinBeatzPeter and co-produced by Taye Olusola, the track blends pulsating percussion, atmospheric synth textures, and melodic energy into a sound crafted specifically with DJs and dance floors in mind.
“Running” was written by AkayCentric, Ryan Carnes, and Promise Chigbu, with recording engineering handled by StefAudioStylist.
With its hypnotic groove and club-ready momentum, “Running” positions AkayCentric at the intersection of Afro-inspired rhythm and global electronic music culture, delivering a record aimed squarely at selectors, DJs, and late-night dance floors worldwide.
The release will arrive under the artist’s imprint CentricsPlayhouse, with management by AfroPanda Entertainment.
While an official release date has yet to be announced, “Running” signals the beginning of an exciting new chapter in AkayCentric’s evolving sound — one designed not just to be heard, but to move rooms.
