Rema’s “Rave & Roses” Finally Breaks 41-year US Billboard 200 Record

It has finally happened! The moment we’ve all been waiting for is unfolding right before our eyes. Rema’s “Rave & Roses” has broken the 41-year record set by a 1982 album.

The journey all started in January, thirty weeks ago, when Rave & Roses debuted at #196 on the charts, ten months after its release in March 2022. It later went on to peak at number #81 on the charts, something that no debut album had ever done before. After that, it progressively broke ground on the charts, surpassing record after record, climbing its way to the top.

Most notably, it broke Burna Boy’s “Love, Damini” record of 12 weeks, placing it at third place. Then, it went on to break Wizkid’s record of 22 weeks with “Made in Lagos,” placing it at second place. Just last week, it equaled King Sunny Ade’s record of 29 weeks with “Juju Music,” jointly holding the number one spot. And now, it has gone on to break the record and stands as the longest-charting Nigerian album on the US Billboard 200 charts.

This record is massive and unprecedented, given that it is only his debut album doing this level of wonders globally, and it is a true joy to watch.

Rema’s hard work and dedication are paying off in multiple ways. The best is yet to come for him, and we are happy for his future endeavors.
