Ajebo Hustlers offers good music as always on latest release.
Ajebo Hustlers have a working formula and they never stray away from it. Piego, one half of the duo, is a skilled and renowned with his stellar hook and chorus performances, while Knowledge brings his street-inflected lyricism and wordplay to rightly complement the solid foundation already laid by Piego. Not to discredit the other, but they have maximized their strength so much as a duo; they are a well oiled machine with each person very well aware of what he has to offer.
Fresh off their sophomore studio project released last December titled ‘Bad Boy Etiquette 101“, Ajebo Hustlers first release of the year is similar to what we have always praised them for; simplicity in songwriting and relatable messages coupled with excellent individual performances and right choice of production.
On ‘You Go Know‘, the Port-Harcourt duo are all about staying away from stress and being careful of the energies they allow around them while shifting their focus on the right things. “Abeg leave me sef / I dey find money, I mean business, / I no dey like something wey go dey give me stress“, summarizes their intentions. The theme of self belief and determination also present itself and typifies the hard-work the duo put in their art daily.
This writer finds this song very addictive because of its smooth sailing mid tempo nature and subtle chords that underlines it. This is in fact a well executed track from top to bottom with little margin of error available. It’s catchy hook and soft tone leaves it with a heavy replay value.
Ajebo Hustlers have been very intentional with their releases and they keep scoring points for their flawless arts. This track might not necessarily do rounds with numbers, but it is an all round splendid offering.
