The album recorded 30.83 million streams on Spotify globally in its opening week, marking a notable streaming achievement for the Afrobeats superstar and adding another milestone to his decorated career.
“Oriadé,” which translates to “the head that wears the crown,” reflects Davido’s embrace of what he describes as his “crown era” championing himself after 15 solid years in the industry.
The album follows a series of major releases that have strengthened Davido’s global presence, while continuing his long-running blend of Afrobeats with international sounds.
