Peter Okoye, one half of the iconic P-Square duo, has officially announced that he will now celebrate his birthday on November 30, replacing the long-recognized November 18 date he previously shared with his twin brother, Paul Okoye.

The singer, popularly known as Mr P, (after he seceded from his brother) described the decision as personal, asking fans not to send birthday wishes or gifts on November 18.
The announcement comes amid a prolonged family dispute involving Peter & Paul Okoye, and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, who managed P-Square during the group’s peak.
After their 2021 reunion, the brothers’ relationship deteriorated again over allegations relating to management, finances, and trust.
Peter has publicly stated that he severed ties with his brothers in 2025, while the dispute has since attracted legal attention and continued public exchanges. Although Peter did not directly link his birthday change to the conflict, many fans have interpreted the move as another symbolic sign of the deepening family divide.
