Davido’s sixth studio album, “Oriadé,” has made an impressive debut across Spotify Nigeria, recording 5.75 million opening-day streams to become the fifth biggest first-day album debut in the platform’s history.
The project also ranks as the second biggest opening-day debut for a Nigerian album released in 2026, trailing only Asake’s “M$NEY.”
The album’s impact extended to the Spotify Nigeria Top Songs chart, where eight tracks from “Oriadé” landed in the Top 10.
Leading the charge was “B4 B4” featuring Mayorkun and FOLA at No. 1, while “On The Road,” “I Know Who I Be,” “Amazing Grace,” “Already Falling,” “Gimme Dat Ting,” “Julie,” and “Constantly” also secured Top 10 positions, highlighting the project’s immediate nationwide appeal.
The strong commercial performance reinforces Davido’s enduring dominance in the streaming era, with “Oriadé”delivering one of the year’s biggest opening days and further cementing his status as one of Afrobeats’ most consistent hitmakers.
