Telexzy offers more glimpses of his potentials on his ‘Bad Boy Things’ EP.
When Telexzy came to the limelight with the release of his breakout song ‘4 D Hustle‘ in 2020, the potential was obvious and the next steps he has taken only solidified those observations. Since then, Telexzy has gone about revealing more of his musical skills in his releases making him one of the highly rated potentials out there.
Born Lawson Telema, Telexzy join the growing list of talented artists to emerge from the Port Harcourt roots. With couples of releases in the bag, Telexzy premieres his debut project titled ‘Bad Boy Things‘. A 4-track EP in which he showed off his musical capabilities. The project pulls the service of other rising artists who helps him to brighten up the tape.
The intro, ‘Big Man‘ sets the perfect tone for the EP. A mid tempo and bouncy production that draws listeners in with it cool ambience. Although, helped massively by Ranziz who handled the chorus duty, Telexzy nothing to worry about but contribute two massive verses heavily laid with bars and carefully crafted flows. On the amapiano inspired ‘Hold Me Down‘, the pattern is similar to the intro. Telexzy dedicates this one to his lover, praising her and confessing his willingness to hold on to her till forever. A big shout out to Narchie for the almost flawless chorus.
On ‘Work‘, Telexzy shows off the singing side of his artistic capabilities. ‘Fire Waist‘ also inquires the service of Ranziz again. The synergy of both artists is perfect just as the intro. They complemented each other rightly, picking up from where the other stopped.
This is a sonically pleasing tape. Before the release of this project, there were so many expectations regarding this talented act who is rapidly developing into the full package aritst. Those expectations have surely been met with this great project and all doubts are very well in smoke now. Telexzy showed his capabilities and brought to the fore his rapping skills, although not as slick as the heavyweights, but it would only get better. Telexzy keeps showing why he is highly rated. The productions and features also made it more appealing. This is just the first body of work by this talented act and it is not surprising he offered quality music and glimpses of what to expect from him as he continues to mature into a full grown artist.
