It’s the dawn of a new week and tradition demands that we update you on how numerous albums fared across various charts and DSP’s in the past week. From the Billboard charts to the UK charts and the various streaming platforms.

Billboard World Albums Chart

Tyla’s “Tyla” has now spent a full year in the world albums chart and she becomes the first female act in over 38 years to accomplish this feat. Three years ago, Rema released his debut album, “Rave & Roses” which is still on the chart, 3 years and 2 billion streams later.

NG Apple

Seyi Vibez’s “Children Of Africa” was number #1, with Wizkid’s “Morayo” coming in at #2 and Playboi Carti’s “I Am Music” at #3.

Spotify NG

Wizkid’s “Morayo” has now spent 19 weeks atop the NG Spotify weekly albums chart.

Young Jonn’s “Jiggy Forever” has now spent 50 weeks in the top 10 of the NG Spotify weekly albums chart, which makes it the longest running 2024 album, Omah Lay’s “Boy Alone” spent its 109th week in the NG Spotify weekly albums chart top 10. The overall 2nd longest running ever, only behind Asake’s MMWTV.

Audiomack

Seyi Vibez’s “Children Of Africa” is at #1 on the Audiomacl albums chart, witn DJ 4Kerty & TML Vibez coming in at #2 with “Pawon Boy, Vol. 1′ and Rybeena’s ‘Virtuoso’ is at #3.

Boomplay

Kummie’s “Before We Became Strangers” is at #1, with Seyi Vibez “Children Of Africa” at #2 and Rema’s “HEIS” at #3.
