While there’s so much applause that this record deserves, it won’t be a stretch to say that there are simply no faults to spot in it entirely.

Spitfir3’s story is one in which he arrived long before he even took off. Born Agu Chiagozie Charles and popularly known as Spitfir3 by frantic lovers of his craft and peers from day one, Spitfir3’s career has been one with a different pattern.

Having gained widespread recognition by jumping on covers of Victony’s “Jaga Jaga“, Ladipoe’s “Running” and Rema’s “Holiday“, while also earning notable co-signs from the original artists, Spitfir3 took his time to build the early foundations of his career, and now seems ready to take over.

Spitfir3 represents an artist with an ever-evolving character, a musical representation of his energy, emotions and feelings, in which he uses his bold, unique bass-like voice and his signature grunt to convey poignant feelings in a way that it still resonates with his audience.

Been a long time coming and with so much preparations in place, Spitfir3 presents his professional debut single titled “True Love“. The single which was announced in the early days of this month has garnered optimism from fans who are aware of his talents and have constantly pushed him to drop it.

On “True Love“, Spitfir3 opts for a mild approach on the shakers heavy and piano driven production. Probably at the most dynamic we have ever witnessed him, Spitfir3 crafts sweet melodies that fits into the narrative of how he sings the praises of his love interest and simultaneously declares his commitments too. ” Anytime that I look at you, e dey do me like dejavu / and if na juju you do, I don fall yakata for you ” helps him to convey the depth of his feelings, and much more sings breathtaking praises of her with subtle liners like ” Girl you so fine, the angels dey rejoice for heaven ” signifying how much he adores her beauty and person.

True Love” presents a story of a man deeply yearning for the affection and commitment of his lover, while boldly coming out with his true intentions. While there are so many applause that this record deserves, it won’t be a stretch to say that there are simply no faults to spot in it entirely.

The best part of it goes to the production and the delivery from the artist. The production was tailor made perfectly for the record’s theme with its well layered and structured elements. You could hear four elements tingling at right intervals against each other making for a record that passes as an instant earworm. Spitfir3 fitted in seamlessly as well, gliding on the mid tempo production with precise care to get the job done. Even his signature grunt approach didn’t lose its essence amidst the calmness at which he delivered the hook and verse.

2024, we are standing on business” Spitfir3 says as he braces up for his first-ever official release “True Love“. Anyone who’s been on a roll with him since those aforementioned career achievements knows this is a huge milestone for the artist, and “True Love” is just a tiny bit of the bountiful success he is expected to reap as his career goes on.
