Weekly Albums Chart Round-Up: Ayra Starr, Young Jonn, Shallipopi & more

It’s the dawn of a new week and tradition demands that we update you on how numerous albums fared across various charts and DSP’s in the past week. From the Billboard charts to the UK charts and the various streaming platforms.

Billboard World Albums Chart

Burna Boy’s “I Told Them” is now back at #15 on last week’s Billboard World albums chart. It has now spent 37 weeks on the chart, after previously peaking at #2.

Rema’s “Rave & Roses” went up a spot to #8 on last week’s chart, in its 95th week. It also previously peaked at #2.

Apple NG

Ayra Starr’s “The Year I Turned 21” went up top, just some hours after its release on Friday, the 31st, thus making it her third project out of three that have all gone #1 on Apple music.

Spotify NG

Young Jonn’s “Jiggy Forever” has now spent #6 weeks atop the Spotify NG Weekly albums chart, which is the longest period for any 2024 album.

Boomplay

Shallipopi retains the top 2 spots of the albums chart of Boomplay, with “Shakespopi” at #1 and “Presido La Pluto” at #2. Kizz Daniel’s “TZA” also remains at #3.

Audiomack

Vibez Inc’s “Vibez Incorporation Mixtape Vol. 1” is still holding down the forte at #1 on the Audiomack weekly albums chart, with the new Ayra Starr album, “The Year I Turned 21” coming at #2 and Shallipopi at #3 with “Shakespopi.”
